Tips & Tricks

Thank you for purchasing our style collections.

Please note the following things:

The supplied style files are JUST programmed for use in the dedicated keyboard. Attempting to play the styles in a computer can cause irreparable damage to the data structure and Style Package files.
All style packages were tested before shipment.

If you have any questions about the installation, please contact us at info@wohnraumakustik.de

Free addition with additional order of style packages as a USB stick:
There is a folder on the media named "0 - Gedicke - Dream your Dream (MP3)".
In there is my CD with original compositions, played among others with the Yamaha Tyros models.
Have fun listening to the music!

Here are some basic tips:
(If your keyboard model is not listed, that does not mean that the style package does not fit, but that there are no special features to remember when loading the styles.)

Older keyboards with floppy disk drive:

Most of the time, older models need to load the styles into the floppy's root directory, otherwise they can not be found by the keyboard.
In addition, there are devices, such as the Technics SX-KN2000, which can only read DD-formatted floppy disks. For an HD disk, simply tape the unused hole and then format the disk in the keyboard. After that it should work.

GEM Genesys / Solton SG-1:

It is advisable to copy the individual .all files from the style directory to the root directory of a new CD and then to load them. Please also note that you need enough free RAM in the key for this purpose and you need to clear it up beforehand if necessary. For details, refer to your operating instructions.

Ketron devices:

The track "Break to End" has not been programmed. This "peculiarity" possess only Ketron keyboards, which is why the effort would be out of proportion to the price.

Ketron Midjay, SD-1, SD-5, SD-8:

The style package for above mentioned models includes the main folder "Styles Ketron Midjay" and the main folder "Styles Ketron SD1". Some Midjay devices may require you to use the styles of the SD1 because your Midjay can not load the newer Midjay styles. Try it out.

Korg PA series (all models):
Here is a short installation guide in German and in English,
The instructions can be used with minor deviations as coarse loading instructions for each Korg PA keyboard.

Korg PA-50 Series, PA-500 & PA-600 & microArranger:

The "Direct SD" loading function does not work with the styles, since these are arranged within over 100 subfolders. You should load the styles block by block into a user bank.

Roland G70:

The styles have to be played on this keyboard with the Database Manager (available in support at Roland as download).

Roland devices with ZIP drive:

The styles must first be read into the instrument with the floppy disk drive, then they can be saved on a ZIP diskette. The database manager for the models EM-2000, G-1000, VA-7 and VA-76, which is available free of charge on the Roland website, is simpler.

Technics Keyboards:

The styles consist of up to 5 files (for some Technics keyboards 3-4 files) with the following possible endings:

.lsw - .tm - .cmp - efc - pmt.

In order for the styles to be recognized in the instrument as well, all styles of a style must be copied to the floppy disk. All data must be copied to the root directory of the floppy disk. I recommend to always copy packages of 10 styles to a floppy disk. In addition, all styles are programmed by me so that they are read into the memory A of the keyboard.

Technics organs:

The styles for the organs consist only of the .cmp files.

Wersi (all older models except OAS / OAX):

The style pack for these organ / keyboard types contains 2 main folders. "Styles Wersi Pegasus " for all plus variants and "Styles Wersi Pegasus" for the older types, mostly without a hard disk and without " " in the name. If you do not recognize the correct styles for your device, remove the styles from the other folder. There have been system and version clashes on various Wersi organs in the past, so a file type will definitely be recognized by your instrument.

Wersi OAS / OAX:

In order for the styles to run, the OpenArtArranger must be installed and activated in OAS systems.
The style package for these organ / keyboard types contains the styles in the Yamaha Tyros 2 format.

Yamaha PSR-E Series:

These devices do not directly recognize the styles supplied on a USB stick. Here, the stick only serves to transport the styles to you. You will need to read the styles either in small packages on floppy disk or on newer devices via a USB connection, as indicated in each Yamaha Keyboard Guide.

Yamaha PSR-S500 - S550, PSR-S650, PSR-S670 & PSR-S700, S710, PSR-S750 & PSR-S770, PSR-S900, PSR-S910:

Download: These devices recognize a maximum of 200 styles (the new PSR-S650 up to 50 styles) on a USB stick. Copy the supplied style package to a USB stick in packages of 200 pieces in a (!) Directory. The USB stick must first be reformatted in the keyboard, not in the PC. You can also find details in the operating instructions of your keyboard.

Stylestick delivery: This keyboard recognizes a maximum of 200 styles on a USB stick. Copy the supplied style package to another USB stick in packages of 200 pieces in a (!) Directory. Further information can be found in the manual or reference manual of your keyboard.

Yamaha PSR-S950, Tyros, Tyros 2, Tyros 3, Tyros 4, Tyros 5:

These instruments address XG voices, resulting in a very high-quality sound experience. Mega Voice technology is not used.
Likewise, no OTS (One Touch Setting) are programmed.
Please load the style files as styles, not as midi files or system files.
